I have a smoke/carbon monoxide detector in both my hallways....the old smoke alarms didn't even work so I replaced them with really cool ones that talk to you after the alarm goes off

I've always enjoyed clipping my toenails. Talk about fun things you can only do in Southern Maryland!

I think today is a good day to dig out the warm clothes and pitch a few old clothes.

Its also a good day to go Halloween candy shopping at Target.

Another good idea for today is to change the battery in the smoke alarm.

It seems that a lot of people forget this and pay later.

Hubby has arthritis and I just like to soak!

We got one of those. I wanted my kids to be aware of what it sounds like so that they would know what to do if it ever goes off, so I pushed the button. My son freaked out. It made him aware that it was actually possible that there could be a fire. It was very traumatic for him.

Actually, I couldn't laugh. He was genuinely terrified. His safe little world where nothing bad happens had been shattered. It was very traumatic for him.
