I LIKE the rice, I was stating that they didn't give us much of ANYTHING. And, what they did give us was mostly rice. Not much meat at all and skimpy on everything else. The Waldorf Chipotle gives you lots and lots of everything w/out being skimpy.

Then I must be getting the employees having a bad day becuase everytime I go in there, when i get tacos they put like 8 little squares of steak on each and if I ask for more they are always say its going to cost extra. Everything cost extra.

Well, that wasn't my experience of Friday. Yes, I did notice that their default is to load up the “fillers” but as I said, a little communication with the staff got me what I wanted.

They have been open all of like 3 days. How many times have you gone?

By dumb luck, we happened to stop at the new one just a few minutes before they opened on Saturday. I thought the food was great, I had plenty of chicken in my burrito. And I thought the limes and lemons available at the soda fountain were a nice touch.

They were unlike any other fast food in this area because they actually had a full staff present, who bothered to listen to my order. Now, if that description is still true 6 months from now, I'll be really impressed. Lots of places start off strong and go downhill.

Just went to the Chipotle's on 235, it SUCKED! There were flies everywhere, the food was cold and tasted nasty. No one in my entire family liked what they got, especially my 8yr. old who could not eat his taco because it was so damn spicey. There was no ice in the soda fountain, and then we had to wait for the girl to fill the ice up, then the machine wouldn't work after she left so we had to stand around another 5 minutes until somebody finally got the machine to work again. I will NEVER eat there again! That was a total waste of my money and time! We had to stop to get my kids something they could actually eat on the way home! The Mousebaby family gives that place :boo: :boo: :boo: :boo: :boo:

You got mexican food for your kids when they don't like spicey? :faint:

Oh ha ha! You are so funny! :killingme

I don't normally buy spicey food for small children, but I did not see a childrens menu offered, nor did I expect the food to be that spicey and not say something to the effect that it was. One of the foods offered said it was spicey so I made sure to steer him clear of that one and he ended up burned anyway! I also went on the rave reviews this place was getting and not one person warned of the food being so spicey. Monterey's doesn't sell spicey food to children, seems they care about their customers!

Chipotle offers lots of non-spicy stuff. They have 3 types of salsa. The fresh tomato is mild, the corn salsa is supposed to be medium (but I find it to be mild as well), and the other more pureed tomato is spicy. Their chicken and pork is mild, and I think they offer one type of beef that is not spicy.

And some of the food is supposed to be cold. The only hot thing is supposed to be the meat and maybe the onions and peppers. You should go there again without the kids. Mabye the employees don't have the routine down yet... so it might be worth it to wait a few months.

I love Chipotle. I'm just jealous that there isn't one closer. Although I was in Dover today and they're building a Sonic!!!

sorry you had such a bad experience. Most of their food is very mild though! there is only one or two items that are spicey and in my opinion they aren't really all that spicey and you have to ask them to put it on your item. They do have a kids menu it was on the counter when you first walk up. They may have been all out considering how busy they have been. I agree with you on Monterey's selling non spicey food to children but then again everything they have on their menu is very bland and tasteless. I was very disappointed in monterey's! IMO their food is :barf: there is really only one restaurant in southern maryland that taste some what anything like real mexican food and that's chipotle. As for their service I do agree they did have a mild fly problem but considering how many people they have coming in and out I'm surprised there wasn't more. and the ice machine thing could happen at any restaurant. I'm just glad we finally have a decent Mexican place to eat at Now if we could just get a Posados or Abuelos. YUM! Now that's some good Mexican food!

You heard it here first.

Chipotle opens on Saturday, July 7; however, there will be a pre-opening event from 5pm until 8 pm on Friday, July 6. Chipotle is throwing a fundraiser for St.
Mary's County Recreation, Park and Community Services. A $5 donation at the door will be rewarded with a big gourmet burrito and a drink. All of the money raised will go to support recreational activities for people with disabilities in St. Mary's County. See attachment for more info.

My wife and I missed the fundraiser opening but went to Chipotle on Monday. The burrito was big enough for the two of us to share. It was definately worth a second trip sometime in the future.

I can't eat spicy food either but when I ordered, ordered the chicken burrito because they told me that the beef was the spiciest meat that they had. I did not find the chicken spicy at all.
