 Please. If this woman did everything right, but couldn't keep these dogs, she would not sell them for "cheap" on the internet. Are you not getting that? You can't tell me she's a reputable breeder and willing to sell her dogs "cheap" to strangers on the net.

I'm not saying they're breeders at all, reputable or otherwise. They're probably just a family that got a couple dogs, and circumstances have arisen where they can no longer properly care for the animals, and they're trying to fix the situation.

It's not like they're running a friggin puppy mill.

You can blow it out your ass. I said "put down" as in humanely euthanized. You're such a damned drama queen.

Yeah.

You'd rather see dogs die rather than try to get them a home, and I am the drama queen.

And for the record, after being "humanely euthanized" they are exactly as dead as they would be after a .22 through the temple.

We do not even know that they are Boxer puppies. If they were pinned(per the owner)outdoors then any male or multiple males could be the award winning daddy/s.

I wish I could take them. I do hope they find good homes. I think boxer pups are adorable.

What is bait for dogfighting?
According to the radio report I heard yesterday, it's kittens. A shelter had boxes dumped at the door containing 56 kittens. They assume they were bait from a dogfighting ring.

You make such a compelling argument. It think this person deserves an award for being such a kind and caring pet owner.

OK, let me try to remember here that not everyone in sweet southern Maryland is properly educated and dumb myself down some for you...

Yes, please dumb it down for me, because I am the one who failed to form a proper sentence, or adequately get my point across.

Mr. Toxick-also spelled incorrectly-do you get it now?

I totally get it. I got it the first time.

My problem wasn't that I didn't get it. My problem was that you were calling someone on a language issue, and you did so in a rambling diatribe that barely formed a coherent thought.

:drama:

We don't know enough to form that opinion either.

That's my point.

Nobody here knows anything about their situation. But everybody is so quick to judge.

Tell you what? Their situation?

I don't know their situation either. But I'm not the one who's passing judgement on something that I don't know anything about.

Sweet Toxick. Please read this :

It helps to reduce companion animal overpopulation. Most countries have a surplus of companion animals and are forced to euthanize or disregard their great suffering. The surplus is in the millions in the United States. Cats are 45 times as prolific, and dogs 15 times as prolific, as humans. They do not need our help to expand their numbers; they need our help to reduce their numbers until there are good homes for them all.

Sterilization of your cat or dog will increase his/her chance of a longer and healthier life. Altering your canine friend will increase his life an average of 1 to 3 years, felines, 3 to 5 years. Altered animals have a very low to no risk of mammary gland tumors/cancer, prostate cancer, perianal tumors, pyometria, and uterine, ovarian and testicular cancers.
Sterilizing your cat/dog makes him/her a better pet, reducing his/her urge to roam and decreasing the risk of contracting diseases or getting hurt as they roam. Surveys indicate that as many as 85% of dogs hit by cars are unaltered. Intact male cats living outside have been shown to live on average less than two years. Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome is spread by bites and intact cats fight a great deal more than altered cats.

Additional Benefits:

Your community will also benefit. Unwanted animals are becoming a very real concern in many places. Stray animals can easily become a public nuisance, soiling parks and streets, ruining shrubbery, frightening children and elderly people, creating noise and other disturbances, causing automobile accidents, and sometimes even killing livestock or other pets.

The capture, impoundment and eventual destruction of unwanted animals costs taxpayers and private humanitarian agencies over a billion dollars each year. As a potential source of rabies and other less serious diseases, they can be a public health hazard.

Thank you. That was good reading.

Unfortunately, I still don't know anything more about the person(s) who wrote the ad though, and I'm loathe to label them as idiots, dog-haters, nailbiters, panty-wastes, morons, imbeciles, cretins, clods, barbarians, killers, satan-worshipers, evil-doers, nazis, commies, fascists, etc.

If YOU got it then is wasn't an incoherent thought then was it? We all agreee to disagree and true we do not know their situation but what I think, and again a thought, wait a minute this might be another rambling diatribe...end here...move on...

What I think the issue has become here is that these/this owner is not responsible and if he/she were then we wouldn't have 2 unaltered dogs, one of which is pregnant, that he/she can't handle anymore and needs to part with. Had a simple spay and neuter been done on these pets then maybe they would be staying in the home they know, not the best mind you if they live pinned(owner's word)outdoors. Yes everyone's situation changes however repsonsible pet owners don't get pets and then simply let them live outdoors in a pin(?)and add to the overpopulation problem. Responsible pet owners take on 5, 8, 10, 15 years or more of caring for and loving that family member and by all means don't banish them to a life outdoors in a pin, pen, chained to a tree, chained to a car bumper, etc...

What I see here in this forum are some amazingly passionate people that want to but can't save the world. I do give applause to this owner for realizing she took on more than she could chew however I feel boxer rescue or no-kill shelters would be better than an internet ad.

OK of my soap box now.

The only thing that can help reduce the pet population is knowledge and action. People do not have to be the "devil" to increase the pet population. They are uninformed and ill fit to own a pet if their pet is not spayed or neutered. In this day and age it is common sense. And the people that respond with the stongest emotion are most likely the ones that would step in to help the puppies and dogs this lady is "done with".

Perhaps not.

What, exactly, was confusing to you? Maybe I can clarify.

Very true however people have a voice, animals don't and MUST rely on humans to speak for them. Every single homeless person out there has the ability to get a job. There is enough help at their avail that they don't need to be homeless. If they can stand on a street corner asking for money then they can stand behind the counter asking, "Can I help you today?"

Of course this debate belongs in another forum I do believe but I couldn't help myself.
