…or it could’ve been (and most likely) a kid who went to an address on Northeast 115th Street when he was supposed to have gone to Northeast 115th Terrace.
Reason I bring that up is because in two different places I lived I had stupid teens pound on my door and do something similar only to realize they had the wrong house/apartment door.

I also know teenagers will lie about what they are doing when they get caught doing crap they aren't supposed to. Friend of mine "hit ice and panicked" when what he was really doing was tearing up yards on purpose when a tree jumped in front of his car and he put three other teens in the hospital.

If the door was in fact closed, old man gonna have a tough case to defend.
No. If the door was in fact closed...and this Boi was inside as the TIME article points out...The Elderly Gentleman is gonna have to shoot the rest of this thug's family members who aren't gonna like the outcome and are gonna want "justice"...

Do you have a link to that article? There have been no reports that the kid was inside the house.

The Post#2 article says, "The 84-year-old white homeowner who shot Ralph Yarl claimed to police that he opened fire through the door of his home without saying a single word because he was “scared to death” of the unarmed Black 16-year-old."

Doesn't say the kid entered the home.

The article's TITLE says otherwise...
Guess it's clickbait...guess I didn't take the bait...oh well

From the article:
"President Joe Biden spoke to Yarl’s family, the White House confirmed on Monday, offering “his prayers for Ralph’s health and for justice,”
I wonder if Joe made those same calls to all of the people gunned down by the Trans shooter(s)
Also, the old man claims he shot the kid "through the door of his home" but Aunite says "He opened the door and shot him."

Why are you guys always so gleeful when a black child is kid by a white person and immediately jump to defend his actions with no knowledge of the situation?

Can't wait till you invite this idiot to speak at the next republican gathering. and then wonder why you are missing out on the crucial sane person vote to get your candidates elected.

Y'all are wild.

Imagine being mad at the child shot for ringing the worng doorbell, making fun of him for not dying fromm being shot and being able to run for help?

and then claim democrats are the danger to children in this country?

WHAT THE F*** IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?

Whoever shot that kid must be the world's worst shot or he was using a BB gun.
When most people are shot in the head someone is picking their brains up off the street.
If it was a .32 short revolver the ammo hasn't been easy to get for 50 years, it didn't have much more power that a regular .22

I'm sure we can agree that since we've only heard the kid's side of the story and not the homeowner's, we should probably refrain from pointing any fingers until we have all the information. There are about 8 million examples why we should never trust the news media to give us the truth.

Actually, we haven't only heard the kid's side. The homeowner's statement to police has been reported.

This was posted earlier in this thread... "The 84-year-old white homeowner who shot Ralph Yarl claimed to police that he opened fire through the door of his home without saying a single word because he was “scared to death” of the unarmed Black 16-year-old."

So he knew the kid was 16 and unarmed? I hadn't heard that part. Given that, he should obviously be convicted of murder. A more sensible approach would have been to ask through the door what he wanted, and shoot him only if he tried to force his way in.

This story has shifted slightly. TIME is reporting he entered the wrong home. That is a lot different than ringing the wrong doorbell.

Oops, that's a fly in the ointment. The old fart was no doubt scared shiitless. I'm not quite that old but I live near nobody, I would assume it's a bear, alien or a meth head robber and yes I literally have things that go bang in every room. It may be hard to clean the hard wood floors.

How would he know he was unarmed?
If he shot through the door that might be a horse of a different color.

It could have simply been a teenager doing stupid teenager things. Like maybe pounding on the door and yelling I'm robbing you because he thought he was at the right house.
Not sure what was more imaginative.... in my day a bag of dogshiit and a match was fun to watch along with other pranks. :)

Who is GLEEFUL that this young man was shot ...... you are projecting again

celebrating you have another white on black shooting to crow about [ rare that such occurrences are, unlike black on white crime ]

through the door of his home

The Storm or Screen Door ... not the ' front door ' apparently the glass in the storm door was replaced after the shooting - or so this has been reported
