Its possible that the critically injured person may not be expected to live and for there investigation reconstruction had to be done, or subject may have been trapped and extended extrication was needed and the helicopter was on the ground. Just some thoughts to consider.

Ok... :frown that wasn't very nice what I said :frown:... and I know this ... I'm just fed up with idiot drivers and now their idiotness becomes MY problem... of course I wish no harm on folks -- but daymn... it's shiat like this that pizzes me off... because some idiot couln't be patient and wait until it was clear on 5 before trying to cross it... hundreds if not a thousand people were adversely affected as a direct result of their idiotness.

I'll be over this mode and back to nicey nice mode tomorrow... but today -- Off with their focking head... :cussing: WTFH were they thinking??!!?... They shoudl have and could have waited... That daymn inconsiderate fock face trying to cut someone off instead of just waiting until traffic was clear -- someone only thinking of themselves mind you... :cussing: Thank goodness only about 9 hours left in this day for me... :cussing:

Glad I took the bus this A.M. Was asleep before we pulled out of the lot @ 4:30 and woke momentarilly when someone sat down next to me in Waldorf, then slept until we got to the first stop in D.C., then dozed lightly until the stop before mine. Caught the 5:30 metro train (which I usually miss by about 30 seconds to a minute) and proceeded to sleep until we were pulling into the station in Silver Spring.

I used to sleep on the commuter bus, until I woke myself up one day with a snore snort loud enough to rattle the windows. From then on I made sure I kept myself awake.

I'd bet that a lot of the cause is that there's a huge hill there. Someone gets the momentum going down that hill and doesn't stop for a changing light and probably t-bones someone else crossing. :ohwell:

An overpass at that intersection for Rt. 5 N&S would help matters greatly, I think. :yay:
That happened to someone I knew when I was a kid. They were leaving the hospital, had the green light and got t-boned by a bus. Killed the passenger. The driver was in the hospital for a while, then had to have in-home care for a year or so after that. They said it was brake failure.

There's a light there. It even has those little flasher things. But if someone is speeding down that bigazz hill, as it is turning yellow, they aren't gonna stop easily. Especially a big vehicle like a bus or a rig.

Across from Ed's Plant world? Earnshaw Drive  I've never seen one there at all... doesn't mean one doesn't exist there or does at the bottom of the hill... I've just never seen one there  Why would there be a flashing light there? If there is not signals or 4 way stops or anything until you get to SoMd hospital

When I said flasher thing, I meant like in Bryantown, a white flash in the middle of the red light. They have one of those at Surratts, too.
