?? Have you ever ridden a 'big Harley' long distances? I must say..of the many bikes I've owned, my FLHTC dresser was easily the most comfortable cruiser of them all.

Now that said, of course I know the Wings are plenty comfy too. I just have a softer spot in my head for Harleys.

Good bikes, they're just down a little on HP, torque, luggage capacity, weight capacity and weather protection from the Wing

I'm really happy with mine... very comfortable ride. No engine vibrations at all.

True, I'm sure..if what you want is a ride that big to start with. I don't, however. That and I'm about 20 years beyond the days when HP mattered much. (for comparison between 'then' and 'now'..I owned a KZ1000 Z1R the first year they came out. I briefly owned a Honda 6-banger too...;-)

...in fact, I'm stepping 'down' in size to a Road King (or springer softail..or..there are several in the size range) next time around...as soon as I finish restoring the '47 U flathead hardtail bobber currently in the shop and get it sold.

What is the TQ/HP of the newer Wings, out of curiosity?

Wing;

HP: 104
Torque: 109
MPG: 55

FLHTC
Weight: 864 lbs.
Displacement 96 cu. in. (1584 cc)
Torque: 92.6 ft. lbs. @ 3500 RPM (126 Nm @ 3500 RPM)

Interesting, nobody seems to post a HP rating on a new FLHTC

No..but nearly every one of the Harley's have peak torque and HP numbers that are virtually identical. Odd though..both numbers are on the specification tag that hangs on every bike in the showroom. I was just looking at some Friday...LOL.

Anywho,,its the peak torque and what RPM is shows up at that matters, especially when talking heavy bike.

Funny..they are not as far apart as I had assumed they would be, either. I would have guessed the Wing numbers would be higher than they are.

I may be an old guy, but I can slalom thru the roundabouts on my GW dragging pegs with the best of them.

Lemme get this '47 hardtail springer project done and we'll go run Deale's Gap together.:killingme

Or..maybe not.
