Every year we have goldfinches, and while I love seeing them, they go around plucking off every orange and yellow flower petal in the yard, and I have lots of them...for a short time! I don't want to put up feeders because it just brings more of them around and they don't stop chomping around the flowers just because of the convenience of the feeder. I want to veer them off my path. Do owl decoys work? Plain or the ones that rotate heads and go hoo-hoo? I'm running out of petals FAST!
