UNLESS there never was such a person and someone's fudging the books to funnel money elsewhere.

That's what I'm guessing this is about and I have no doubt there's some of that going on because I've seen it firsthand on a smaller scale. If nobody is checking, the fake employee will never be discovered and the culprit will never be caught. This would explain why dept heads are telling their staff to not respond, and I would like to know exactly who is saying that because last time I looked "State Dept" was Marco Rubio, and it's flat out impossible that he gave that directive.
My bosses bosses boss doesn't even have this sort of ability to do this, it would have to be very high up.

Person I replaced on a contract 20some years ago kept her email address and had access to time accounting and time cards. For 6 months, she entered a default charge number for 40 hours a week after she left the company. With automatic deposit, she got bi-weekly paychecks for doing nothing. Boss never found out who was approving her timecards but he knew it wasn't him.
Did anything ever happen to her?

I think some of the issue is worry over (classified) data spillage, there are some things that are not supposed to be discussed with anyone that doesn't have a need to know.

If they can't say what they do without going into classified detail, they should be fired. That's pretty simple stuff and the heads directing their staff to not comply with a freaking federal order need to be taken down. CIA agents can tell you what they do without divulging classified information. The SecState can tell you what he does.

Honestly, I had some sympathy for govvies in the beginning but now they're so defiant and insubordinate that I want them all fired. I don't want to pay for rebellious immature adults who think they are unaccountable and get all sassy when the people who pay them want communication. They don't want to go to work, whine whine; they don't want to answer an email, whine whine. Get the **** out. Go pick lettuce, take some Mexican illegal's place. Make motel beds, plenty of those jobs to be had.

I'm fed up with these people.

Remember when POTUS was Commander in Chief? Now we have ****ing Navy pukes all, "Yeah, **** you, I don't have to do what you say."

I'd dishonorably discharge every last one of them and PS bring them up on federal charges.

Some can not without it being overly generic not telling you anything.

You really believe what a CIA agent tells you they do is actually what they do?

It would certainly be very high up. Middle manager isn't going to risk prison for that. It would have to be someone high enough that they thought they were protected.

And yet SecState talks to the press almost every day and tells them what he's doing. Without divulging classified information. CIA head, same.

The SoS isn't actually doing the classified stuff, if someone's only job is working on something that is classified how can they send out their accomplishments (not what they do) to some sketchy looking email. A cybersecurity expert such as yourself would also understand there are things that should not be in emails.

I've got my bulleted list done, except I left program names off awaiting guidance on wtf we are supposed to do.

No idea, boss at the time wasn't told what happened with it. Guy I worked with had worked with this woman for 2 years and said he wasn't surprised, she had struck him as shady and he had been trying for a long time to get her gone. Nice guy but older and stuck in his ways that women belonged in the kitchen.

She probably went on to do it again.

And again I say, you don't have to get into detail because that's not what DOGE is looking for. It sounds like what they're really looking for is if there's an actual human at that email address.

But I don't put it past the toddler tantrum govvies to go the malicious compliance route and get extremely detailed over email just to stomp their little feet because they had to *hmpf* go back to work. Like, you know, everyone else does. "Well I'll just put all this classified information in there AND cc it to Vladimir Putin! So there! **** Trump! **** Elon How dare they make me get out of my pajamas!!"

You're not doing your cause any favors by defending this insubordination and trying to insult me. You just make me think even more that every last one of them needs to be kicked out on their ass. I always thought of these people as serious professionals doing an important job, and now all I see are childish unprofessional political bots.

I have prepared my response and ensured no attachments or classified information is disclosed.
● On Monday I [redacted - classified].
● On Tuesday I [redacted - classified].
● On Wednesday I [redacted - classified].
● On Thursday my work was so classified I can't even discuss it.
● On Friday - maybe I continued Thursday work, or maybe not. I will have to report you for even asking.

Did other stuff too, but I listed the 5 major efforts. This response satisfies your request.

See it doesn't have to be

Met Hanjob Bin Bobin in Damascus and handed over $500K to assassinate problem chieftan X

Could be

Attended meeting and conducted tasks as assigned.

Instead of

Met with Blockheaed Matens and decided that the new EW systems should utilized bands DC, FT, and XYZ at 5,0000 watts ubnsing a Model 12344 antenna

Could be

Settled system specifications with vendor.

Anyone who works classified should be able to express things in an unclass manner.

I've seen Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid fraud - but this kind of fraud, it would take serious work, at least in the areas where I work, because they micromanage every inch. We have really tight budgets on some of our projects, and sometimes, we have to partially "employ" people on other projects, because there's not enough money to pay our people. One of my co-workers is being paid something like 30% on another project for work he's doing for them - because we can't pay him. And that's even being down two people.

And we were told this past week - we might be accounting for quarter hours of work. Seriously. It boggles my mind that anyone can scrutinize a budget so tightly that this or that cannot be bought this fiscal year.

I will have to double check what it asks, but I am pretty sure they do NOT want classified work and want NO attachments.

And like Elon mentioned - they're under the belief that there are fake emails out there, or non-existent workers.

IF there are - I would be very surprised, but not in my area - everyone is under a microscope.

You have a bunch of people that believe they are trying to justify their jobs, do you really believe "attended meetings and performed tasks as assigned" would satisfy someone that demands you justify your existence?

According to the guy who sent it, yes.
