What's your thoughts over the Pentagon saying don't reply?

I know vrai thinks my posts are politically motivated, but they aren't even my opinions, they are based off the constant training I have to take and the agreements I have to sign that say I will follow.

I see why those orgs did that, but really. Saying you cant innocuously phrase what you do seems odd. Even without the guidance that all they really want is a response of any kind that's not gibberish.

You did accomplish things. Attended meetings. Prepared briefs. Arranged for things to happen. All of these things can be stripped of identifying things and written down as I've already demonstrated. Shouldn't be that hard, if you are entrusted with classified, you know what words and phrases to avoid.

2 items to note:

With all the slashing and cutting, why hasn't there been any mention of reducing the massive funding we use to pay people NOT to be criminals?

Also, I believe the whole $5K per person checks idea was sent out into the ether to detract the general voter from things.

Just my 2 cents...

It's probably what others have said - they don't trust the govvies to use judgment and not divulge classified information. They're all over Tik Tok and Reddit saying they will do exactly that. IMO that would be a great starting point to firing people, and perhaps charging them with espionage.

This isn't all govvies, of course - I have to believe most of them aren't retarded. But there are enough retarded ones that precautions must be taken.

But I'm just making that up, I have no idea.
First off there is more than employment here, dipshits need to realize if they divulge classified info on purpose they can go to federal prison.

Anyone threatening to do so should lose their clearance, with that comes job loss.

I know I pissed you off, but I was only communicating the why and what I thought would happen and it did go down that way.

As far as a cabinet level person saying not to do it, man I don't even have a guess of the fallout from that.

I am doing what my chain of command tells me to do, have had a list since Sunday morning waiting until I'm told to send it.

I'm not pissed at you, just frustrated with the bureaucracy of it all and I apologize for taking it out on you. :flowers:

That's frustrating too. Musk may have jumped the gun on this, OR the Heads might just be being balky and annoying. There's no real way to know. Either way, you're right to follow CoC because what else are you gonna do? I still think Trump/Musk is just looking for warm bodies associated with payroll/bennies and doesn't really care what specifically you do during the week. Probably also looking to see who squawks loudest about accountability. But I don't know that for sure either.

Sorry I insulted you too.

I get people that want to argue about rules all the time with me, rules I don't make but have to follow and communicate.

This has been my biggest problem with Musk, I live in a world of rules that must be followed and chaos is unwelcomed.

I'm not convinced we should blame Musk for anything since he's just following Trump's directives. The media act like he's some cowboy just taking matters into his own hands (President Musk) but both he and Trump have been clear that Trump is the boss and this is what he wants.

I'm not uncomfortable with what's going on; I feel like it's been a long time coming and none of it is unfamiliar to me. I can see why others might have a different perspective but that's frustrating as well.

So here's the possible 4D chess explanation.

Musk gets a win with people looking at Doge simply by asking for a accounting of work done.
Trump gets a win by supporting Musk, and adds bricks to the wall against the "Trump Musk falling out" narrative.
Newly appointed Cabinet posts get a win within the departments by standing up for their people against Musk and Trump

Note I said possible. I wouldn't even try to place a confidence level on it. 50/50.

New guidance from OSD came out today and DoD employees are to respond directly to OSD and not OPM, but are advised to specifically do not makes points such as "Attended Meetings"
That was mentioned today in our All Hands meeting this morning. Probably in all the other meetings today too.

Several supervisors I know are saying "wtf am I supposed to put, all I've done in the last month has been work on seating charts, attend all hands meetings and attempt to answer questions about these cryptic emails we get from OPM now."

Pull points from your PD. Only 5 at a time, one day a week. Then switch it up.

Hah.

Boss- We are having 3 mandatory meetings this week, one is an all day off-site.
Boss- You also need to complete this mandatory training.

Also Boss- Describe what you did this week, don't mention meetings or training or anything classified. In fact, just describe to us how best to replace you with AI.

Don't forget to describe 5 ways that your vacation time contributed to operational readiness, saved the government money, and supported the warfighter.

Well yes this is different than the first one. The first one literally just wanted a response of any kind. I watched two of my government folks try to do this today and man they were overthinking the s*** out of it

Yep, you can't just say I attended a meeting but at the same time you don't have which say software revisions you discussed in that meeting. Here's mine if I had to write one for last week.

Worked revisions to aircraft mission system software.
Coordinated transfer of aircraft test assets to laboratory.
Conducted fit check of mission equipment onto aircraft.
Gathered and delivered specification requirements to vendor.
Answered three fleet and one FMS information request.
Wrote QALI for DCMA for search and rescue kit.

I think people are hung up thinking that they need to spell out five tasks that explain their whole work week. I really don't think that's what they are after.

The speculation I'm hearing is it's going to be fed into AI to look for redundancies to reduce billets.

More things
1. Get your tax forms off of mypay, make sure you set up a password and not just rely on your CAC to access it.
2. Download your performance reviews from PPT
3. If you have a non-generic position description make sure you have a copy of it
I'm just now seeing this, and wondering if I'd be a fear-monger if I shared it on FB. A lot of my friends are still working at Pax.
