green bean casserole

Hi everyone!

I would like to make a green bean casserole for Thanksgiving, but me and hubby don't like mushrooms. And, I haven't found a recipe that doesn't include cream of mushroom soup!
Does anyone have a recipe that does not use cream of mushroom soup, or could make any suggestion that you could use in it's place?
(I don't cook much, so my mind is a blank as to coming up with ideas)

Since you don't cook much-why not use cream of chicken or celery soup; better yet, make your own white/cream sauce.

We have family members that don't like mushrooms, either. I have made it with cream of potato, and you can add bacon. Yum!

Here is an actual recipe, but I have never used the soy sauce.

A simple bechamel sauce would do, but if you don't cook much, go with Lilypad's advice.

I think I'm the only one in the family that does not care for it. The only thing I like on my greenbeans is a little bacon grease, butter and S & P.
