Groomer needed

This is probably none of my business, but did you tell her how you felt? Feed back is important just like you said. We have a small business also, and we encourage feed back. It helps us to learn how to improve our business.

When I went back inside I told her she seemed really busy, that this didn't appear to be a good time, and that I didn't think it would work out but that's all I said. There was A LOT going on in that room so I just took my dogs out of the crate and left.

Regarding the barking, my dogs are actually very well behaved in my care and don't bark much - which I think says A LOT considering that they are Pomeranians. However, they do get barky in new and really chaotic situations. I am under the impression that this isn't unusual, abnormal, or even particularly bad behavior. It doesn't take them long to warm up to a place.

They barked when we got there. She asked if they would stop barking and I told her that they should but I wasn't sure how they would handle everything that was going on around them in that room. IMO, I didn't like the conditions but gave her a second chance by walking outside. When the dogs and I went to check out Interlude I was told that sometimes having the owner walk out of sight is helpful to stop barking dogs, so that was my intention. I heard her yell once. I waited. I heard her yell again. I went back inside, gathered my dogs, and left.

If you think I'm wrong or overreacting, fine. I am not offended by that. I am not offended by any questions. I now have a groomer that is a perfect fit for my dogs. It appears Shelley's is a perfect fit for other people's pets. Different strokes for different folks, I guess, but I know I appreciate all experiences when looking for recommendations so that I can make a well-rounded decision based on my own personal preferences. I assume others do too.

No MMM, I do not think you're over reacting at all. I thank you for your reply, and would be concerned myself, if I had expirienced that same scenario. I'm funny about my Animals, and feel bad if I have to even scold them. Your babies are lucky to have such a caring Person on their side.

MMM: I wish I had never replied and stuck my nose in this thread. I in no way was criticizing you at all ok? I would like to remove my comment and exit this thread (I am in no way taking sides), but I've been quoted so it's too late. I see that my comments could be construed to be critical on both sides, so I apologize to all involved for butting in. :whack:

Aw, please don't let my reaction concern you. I wasn't offended by anyone's posts. I thought you brought up a good point that I wanted to address. If I were to go back and read my own post a little more objectively, I would probably say something along the lines of "Well, hell, a couple of yappy dogs are enough to drive just about anyone insane!" So I just wanted to expand on that and clarify a little.

And I don't mind other people telling me about dog training. I feel like I have a good handle on my pets but the dogs are 11 years old and I still occasionally find better ways for us all to get along cohesively.

I tried the nice ways I knew of to stop the annoying barking for attention, but nothing short of loudly saying STOP will get some dogs to listen. And no one wants to adopt a yappy dog, do they? Lol not I!
