On one side, I'd like to see us all able to carry a sidearm if we wanted to; however, I think there are too many crazies out there for that to be a safe option.

Have one in the house - you betcha! :howdy:

I would bet if you were allowed to carry, the "crazies" with the guns would think twice about pulling them... look at the states which currently have open carry laws - not much of a problem there.

I agree with you here. We'll probably never see very many people carrying guns around it the state of MD because of all the liberals but I really think that if a drug addict needed money and decided to rob someone for it, he would think twice if he thought the prey had a gun. They again, in this screwed up state, the victim would end up behind bars and the drug addict would be awarded a favorable law suit.

Not surprised...

They're surrounded by New York, Massachusetts and Canadians.

Too damn many socialists.

I'd leave the building with one in the pipe too.

I agree. It's our right. We don't necessarily need to exercise that right but it is guaranteed in the Constitution. Same as free speech. I just wish socialists wouldn't exercise that right so often.

I see the point behind open carry, it also has advantages to concealed carry, but I think it makes LEO's jobs more difficult.

Concealed carry should be shall issue in every state.

I respectfully disagree.

We can see what happens when the people take the right for granted and don't exercise it. The right atrophies until some say it no longer necessary, others simply refuse to acknowledge the right even exists.
