I would like to take this moment to give the greatest amount of kudo's to Guy Motors in Mechanicsville!
I bought a used truck from them this past January. I had to take it in to another dealership to have some recall work done on it and at the same time had them check out a little noise it was making. After having to break down the motor further and further to find out what the problem was we finally had an answer and it wasn't good! It was reccommended that we needed a new motor!
We thought we were covered with the extended warranty we had bought for the truck and found out how wrong we were. The warranty company came back and claimed that the truck had a pre-existing condition! Can you imagine! It's a truck! But they claimed that the previous owner's didn't keep up on proper oil changes therefore causing damage to the motor.
I was lived to say the least and went right up to Guy Motors to start chewing some butt and I'm glad I now that I didn't. They went to bat for us from the gitgo!! The general manager, head mechanic and the owner of Guy Motors started arguing with the warranty company on our behalf right away!
The general manager told me they would do everything they could first with the warranty then they would stand behind their product they sold me. Naturally I was a little aprehensive but today we got the news!
The warranty company refuses to pay for the motor SO not only is Guy Motors footing the bill, they will no longer sell those extended warranties!
Thank you so much Guy Motors for standing by your product and going to bat for us! You will always have our business!

Scary to say the least but thankfully I was able to get it back to Guy Motors without too much of an incident
