Has anyone attempted to make it? Someone I know thinks it is an actual kind of animal or something, but I got a recipe, am getting a meatgrinder and will be making some soon. Any tips will be appreciated.

My favorite food in the whole wide world!
I loved it over seas (Gyro and a heineken for under a buck!!) Haven't had one here that was more than just "decent" though
The only place my family (all Greeks) will eat them from is Napoli's!
Are you the one that thought a gyro was a type of animal?
Where is that??

It's in Waldorf - on 301 - would be a drive for you, but worth it. They have great pizza too!
I told him it was lamb.
