Thanks for all the tips, Adams is sounding real good to me! I love me some ribs! And I agree, I went to that Ponderosa once and swore I'd never darken their doorstep again! I am sort of burnt out on the Japanese thing. My girlfriend did take me to Mexico once last summer and I think Monterey's is better. Anyway, thanks again, heading out the door soon! Bye ya'll take care! :huggy:

It was awesome when it used to be Rustic Farms.

I don't recalll the Log Cabin Inn. That must have been after Rustic Farms and before Adams. (?)

Really  I am pretty sure where I ate was called Mexico, did they have a place before they opened in Calvert?

If I'm not mistaken the place where the Surrey Inn was? I think thats the name of the restaraunt that used to be there.

Yeah...but I thought it had only been open for 3-4 months..maybe time has passed quicker than I though. I think they have one in Waldorf too.

It has been open more than a few months. Not exactly sure of when though. It may have been late summer/early fall. The original one is in Waldorf.

Yes, the building used to be the Surrey Inn.

In my opinion the food at Mexico sucks. I also was served the nastiest margarita I've had anywhere at the one in Huntingtown. Most people from Waldorf avoid Mexico for places such as La Tolteca. Just my two cents...which adjusted for inflation probably isn't even worth that.

I've never been to Asahi, so I can't compare the two. But, we've always enjoyed our meals at Sakura.

We ate at Sakura in Wins-Salem last weekend. It didn't have any communal grill tables and it was soooooooo delicious :yum:

My mom and her family were born and raised in Calvert. I'm half Calvert by birth.

The hospital my mom was born in is now the headquarters for the Calvert County sheriff's department.

:yay:

Never been in Sakura. I can't get over how filthy it was when it was Pondersa.

I really like the Sakura in PF. Been to that one and the one in Waldorf, and I think PF Sakura is a smidge better. You should give it a try, it's no where near dirty anymore.

I very much prefer Sakura over Asahi.
