I went through at least 4 bottles each pregnancy I kept it by my bed so I could take a swig if I woke up in the middle of the night with killer heartburn.Only 3 months and killer heartburn

My OB told me it was
to use Zantac. I did, and have a healthly beautiful 2 year old. It worked sooooo much better than the tums.

I had awful heartburn with both of daughters since pretty much day one. That was one of the things that told me I was pregnant. I lived on tums that whole time. I as another one posted ate them like they were candy. Both of my little girls had full heads of hair when they were born. I have heard of some that had killer heartburn and the kid had no hair. So that would be just another old wifes tale.
I was told by the doctor I could take Zantac 75mg. It did not work. While the Tumd did not work either I figured they took the edge off a little and gave me extra Calcuim. I tried Giner Snaps as well and they did not work. I am sorry that I can't really help to tell you what would work I just know that nothing worked for me.
I was not told I could take Mylanta so I don't know if that works or not.

I have to spread my karma around some more before giving it back to you otherwise I would have.
for someone saying sex is not bad. It is actually good during pregnancy. I hear then when you get near your due date it can help you go into labor. Not sure both of mine was early.

Ugh...I remember that! Tums did nothing for me either. My best friend's mother swears on raw potatoes, but I just couldn't bring myself to eat a raw potato.
What worked for me is chugging a big old glass of cold milk. Let me sleep the rest of the night.
