The DJ for our son's wedding in August (Labor day weekend) fell through and we're now scrambling to find someone. This is a small wedding and we're NOT looking for a top of the line entertainer/DJ type to get people out on the dance floor and PARTAY!!!!!(if one was even available at this late date)..... We want someone who can introduce the couple, play some music while we eat and play a special song for their first dance, and then just have some music going while we all spend the evening being together as a family, nothing loud and obnoxious, no flickering lights (we cant have that due to my MIL's medical condition).

Anyone have someone they can recommend?

I am extremely happy with Tommy Pilkerton, owner of http://www.bigtsentertainmentllc.com/ who accomodated us when we needed something smaller than the norm. I recommend you contact him and explain your situation and see if he is willing to accomodate you... check your PMer for additional information....

Anybody have Charlie Thompson's number or Chuckie's for that matter for her?

Either of them would be a good choice too.

You can call Dew Drop Inn, they'll have his number. We used John Willingham from FunDiscJocky.com for our company Xmas party. He was very good, nothing to loud and nothing with rap music. He did play some country and old Motown. His number is 240-229-1053

Does the venue have it's own sound system? If it does, a good ipod playlist might do the trick. Ive been to events with DJ IPOD and it works great for what you describe.
