Do you think a black sheep knows it's a black sheep? Just saw a picture of one in a close herd of white sheep and wondered if other sheep somehow recognize it's different and treat it thusly.

Any shepherds on the forum?

Was it griping about white sheep supremacy? Because that's AOSheep, who speaks for black sheep even though she's not black.

One hundred percent certain it was apolitical. I wonder if animals do have prejudices though?

I did find out that black wool will not dye which makes it worth less; hence the reason behind the expression black sheep in a family.

The more I know.....

They do. Anything outside the norm causes the herd to get skitty, some animals more than others. If the white sheep have known the black sheep their whole lives, they won't think anything of it. But if you introduce a black sheep into a white herd, the white sheep will react with fear or aggression. But only initially, because sheep are pretty chill and once they see the black sheep means them no harm they're all, "Welcome, ebon friend. Mi casa es su casa. Have some grass...."

They white sheep will probably form a supremacy group, band together and fleece the interloper.

I didn't get it either but I don't have any vanilla extract. Will maple extract do?
Wouldn't blend well with coke most likely. Ken is referring to me mixing vanilla extract in a coke and getting tipsy from it one New Year's Eve. However, sober or plastered, I still didn't get the rest of what he said.

Good grief, how much vanilla extract did you use?

Yeah, alcohol content is 35% or 70 proof.
There was a kind of snacky type place on the NWS in Goose Creek when dad was stationed in Charleston. That was my first introduction to vanilla coke. I was about 16. I guess they didn't think much about the alcohol content back then; I had no idea what caused that buzzy feeling but I got a vanilla coke every time I went in that place. That's a lot of alcohol in a little bottle.
