Her sister died in the swimming pool.

Accidents happen. My uncle's son died in a swimming pool too. I think what is harder to accept, as a Christian is when children get awful diseases like cancer or are born deformed, but accidents just happen.

So was it God's fault? I don't understand why you want 2A to explain why God would allow something like that when humans are fallible. In this case it could be the pool cleaner or someone who was supposed to be watching the child. In any case, accidents happen that are beyond our control. Sure it's easy to think about the "what if's" and "if I'd have only done this or that" then the outcome would be different. If you're looking for the answer and you still believe in God, ask him. Do you blame God? If you don't believe then there's no point in asking.

Obviously, YOU have never lost a child or young sister to an accident. What I am asking 2A is that if there is a God, why does he allow young, innocent children to die? God is in charge, right????????? I don't blame God. I don't blame anyone. I think if there is a God, he wouldn't allow innocent children to die and their families to suffer.

BS, I'm not sure where you're going here but I doubt you'll find the answer you want. 2A has been challenged in many threads before. He can't answer for God. He'll offer you his thoughts, opinions, beliefs and condolences but he can't speak for God.

Do a search in the religion forum and you will find many such threads. No need for another. I'm sorry about your sister. :huggy:

How would you know where I've walked in my shoes? 2A doesn't have an insight into what God has decided to allow or not. Some people believe God is in charge 24/7, maybe he is, maybe he isn't considering we have the "free will" he graciously gave us to screw up our lives if we so desire; can't blame God for that.

I'm truly sorry about your sister. :huggy:

So maybe you think there isn't a God since innocent children die and suffer? I'm trying to follow you, really. Or maybe you want to know why 2A's God let's people die and suffer?

So, what shoes have you walked in? Have you lost a child, an innocent brother or sister?

All I'm asking is why I should believe in a God that allows suffering to happen? And, not to be rude, but I don't think I was asking you the question. I was asking 2A because I think he truly has answers to questions about this. All you have done is piss me off.

Only if you believe,,,

There are those that learn from their mistakes and don't repeat them, then there are those that like to blame others for their mistakes and keep finding people to blame for their own stupidity.

I'm am sorry to hear about your sister. That is an aweful thing to happen. :huggy:

It is a terrible thing for innocent people to die. Especially children. I cannot give you advice on how to handle your situation. But I can tell you that I believe God has your sister in a much better place now. I am not sure why God allows aweful things to happen. But I'm sure he has a reason, and I don't believe we have the ability to understand his reasoning. So all we can do is pray that your sister looks down on us with a smile and wispers in the wind for us to join her in heaven.

What mistakes? Who am I blaming? Who was stupid? Are you even Christian? Why would you even say anything like that? Are you blaming my family?

Trust me, he doesn't have ALL the answers. Your lack of sincerity to me in this thread has proven you just want an arguement where ever you can find it. You really wanted that arguement with 2A and got me instead.

Keep it up :bs:Gal...

From now on...I'm only here to annoy you!

Let me clarify. I have asked him a question because I have followed his threads (read them every day) and am looking for an answer to my doubts. I actually started reading the Bible. I would NEVER start an argument with him because I have respect for him and his beliefs.. I am only looking for some answers. I am between starting to go to church again and not. I think that you have now put me on the path of NOT.

By that logic, there must not be a God because he'd allow ANYONE to die. Or lose a job. Or stub their toe.

I'll be honest here - things happen, whether God makes them happen or not. And if there is a God, I doubt he really cares what you think.
