Well? It all depends on a person using any word, and its delivery in context, and how it is received, if a person is to be offended.

Are you seriously trying to convince me that calling someone "darkie" is NOT racist?
Is that honestly what you're trying to say here?

Really?

Wow.
Good luck convincing anyone of that. On earth. Anyone.

Spoiler alert: Toxick will not be buying that bullshit.

From my direct observation, apparently, "mah nig9a" is the preferred form of greeting and banter exchange.

Well, that wasn't the phrase that was used, and the spirit in which that phrase is used was not present.

From my direct observation, that phrase is used by young black men amongst themselves, and sometimes with select white friends (apparently the "N-Word Pass" is a thing that exists, my son's black friends have given him this pass - which I ****ing hate and he knows not to say it when I can hear it). I am not particularly interested in the protocols, nuances and situational subtleties in which you can call someone that word without being considered a racist dickhead.

However, I'm fairly certain the criteria weren't met in the above exchange.

Nope. Not at all. If 'you' think, "darkie" is racist, in your mind. Then, it really f-cking sucks to be you. You are officially programmed and willfully carry the water of the Bolsheviks.

What? Are you a f-cking pussy? Niqqer, is nothing but a word, a derivative of negro. Used in context? It can be derogatory, or descriptive. Ohhh, you project so well your victim hood, or, white guilt. Allow me to be the one to officially say ... Go F-ck yourself!

I would assume a tough chick like you, uses these terms out in public, correct? Or are you just a puss keyboard warrior? I am banking on the latter...

Has nothing to do with programming. It has everything to do with not going out of my way to be a **********.

Tell you what, Stipe Miocic... why don't you go on down to Lexington Park - or come on up to Waldorf and wax philosophical about what you think of your "Nothing but a word"-word.

You know... out loud.

Or call one of the locals Darkie to their face.

And then you can ask me if I'm a ****ing pussy.

Ohhh, you project so well your victim hood, or, white guilt.

Pfft.

Not using, nor condoning the use of pejoratives isn't an expression of white guilt. These jagoff celebrities with their "I'm responsible wah-wah-wah" videos - that's white guilt, and it's ****ing pathetic. I simply recognize bigotry when I see it, even when it impotently tries to pretend it's something else.

Allow me to be the one to officially say ... Go F-ck yourself!

HAH - Like you're the first one to say that to me.

Wow. Actually, Tox is one of the most informed and balanced members on this forum. What made you fall off the rails? Just wondering. He reminds me of Tilted that doesn’t post anymore. Are you ok? Go, Tox!

That's a double edge sword. Independent thought is a gift. And a curse.

I have, on more than one occasion, been called a leftist snowflake and a rightwing fascist within minutes of each other.

You can’t win for losing. God bless the USA, and keep on postin’ on, Tox. You get it.

🇧🇸 Where were you called so many different things. I've never in my life been called any of those things (to my face).
Guess you never grew up around black folk then. While in school. In the neighborhood, etc. Also? I never gave them the power for those words to offend me. Had I? There would have been a whole lot more fights growing up. Pretty much considered them a nickname, and kept on about my business.

The point being, they're just words. For people to get so caught up getting offended from certain word usage is lunacy. Now with Tox. I do not go out of my way to use a word, or words, in the presence of a person that I know, or a have a feeling, would get offended. That as well is lunacy too. There are people primed, ready to pounce, upon hearing certain words, either directed toward them, or another. I've been in Giant walking past a group of black people, when they had the coffee break area, just chatting using the "n" word amongst themselves. Would I walk up and try to enter the conversion by saying, 'hey N's, what up? I heard about the same thing you're talking about earlier.' I'm crazy, but not stupid. There are many times I'm in the presence of a lot of white people and the n word gets thrown around. I don't chastise them. I just listen to the conversation and what is being said. I don't judge a person by the words they use. Maybe these words should just be considered vulgar? Instead of racist? Because the vast majority of the time, there is no racist intent at all.

Oh. To answer your question. Just pretty much fed up with all the lunacy of words usage and the interpretations thereof. And those that only see it, (figuratively), as a black and white issue. When the subject is actually full of colors. Just because someone uses a certain word, does not necessarily mean it is heartfelt, or said from anger, or hate. It is all about context. There are so many nuances in life, and to attempt to narrow the vastness of possible word usage and their spoken, or written, intent is an exercise in futility. At times, I go to the extreme to get my point across. Sometimes excessively. But I do have my good moments.;)
