I had a couple that were, most were not, one even accidently shot someone's goat on the first day of deer season.

A game warden in Va. was telling me about a guy who shot a goat thinking it was a sika deer, apparently he had no idea what a sika looks like except it was smaller than a regular deer, the goat also happened to be a pet.

Nothing..... when I lived in Maine, a guy shot a lady hanging laundry in her back yard because she was wearing whites mittens. His defense was literally "I saw the flag and took my shot"
