Any guesses on the number of criminals who turned in their guns? I'll bet it was close to zero. Bad news for the people of Hamilton since they just advertised unarming themselves.

From what I've heard of these efforts in Canada, there isn't a whole lot of talk about options like museums when the police start collecting weapons. I would doubt that most of the cops even know that's an option. The people get the word "turn in the guns or else!!!" and they do it without even reading through the rules.

Personally, I think that the cops should go ahead and melt down all that rich Canadian history. Then maybe after it's gone they'll realize how badly they screwed themselves.
