HOLY CRAP!!! Jet flying low @ 2130?

Did anyone else hear/see/feel that military aircraft go over? It scared the CRAP out of me it was SO low! They aren't allowed to fly that low at this time are they? Any ideas what's going on?

What do you mean?

And let me tell you it scared the bejeezus out of my kids AND my hubby who works on base right next to a runway!

Not whining. Just curious! I'm used to all kinds of "air traffic" noise during the day and such. This just startled/scared the crap out of me and the family. I was just hoping everything was okay and figured if I posted here I might be able to find out what the dealio was!

As long as you didn't hear a big *BOOM* and see flames shooting into the sky, everything is fine. :smile:

That's what I figured. I was WAITING for that boom though! It sounded like the thing was gonna land in my backyard! After living here for 2+years, and hearing all kinds of plane noises, THAT was definately a first for me.

Aw, I've lived here a lot longer than that and have worked on base for many years so I'm sort of immune to it. All part of the sound of freedom! :patriot:

So funny, I was sitting outside with my mom and we heard probably the same plane and she said "I don't know why, but I like that sound" to which I said exactly that..."it's the sound of freedom, ma"

I friggin' love this place.
