Hoop To Lose Weight...

Anyone else seen this? I'm thinking of buying me one. I have little time to work out so it'll be great to lose weight hula hooping for just 10 minutes every day. Plus, the kiddos will have a new cool toy when I'm not using it.

Socki, the ladies in our office went through this last year. We all got hula hoops and we spend our breaks hooping. Most of us got $5 hoops from Walmart (the kind with water in them are awesome), but one of my coworkers spent $50 on a professional hoop. It's HUGE and heavy. It's almost too easy to use though. I'd get the $5 one. I don't really do it to lose weight now, but it's fun.

last time I tried to hoola hoop, it took three days and a 2lb tub of butter to get the damn thing back off.

On the bright side, I never dropped it on the floor like the other loosers,, I mean, dieting people did.

I just imagine a bunch of ladies instead of a smoke break, you take a hoop break:lol: Thats awesome! I had one last year. It was fun until the neighbor's kid bent it, that little brat.

This year I'm hitting the bag again. I have gloves and tape and I'm read to get my punch on. I also love my bike, that thing is so much fun at St. Mary's Lake:wink:

Just put the fork down ladies........it'll be ok....

that's what I'm saying. PORTION CONTROL! You really don't have to eat all that is in front of you!

I am diabetic and I have PCOS. I rarely overeat. There are a many of reasons why people gain weight. Some because they eat too much, some have hormonal issues, and there are a ton of medical issues that cause it. So, STFU you skinny biatch. Go get yourself a Big Mac and enjoy life. :yay:

I don't know if they work. And you don't have a bad back by chance do you? My aunt had one but she has metal rods in her back for scholeosis (sp?) so she didn't use it long because she didn't want to hurt her back bad. Mama has one, she uses it sometimes (maybe regularly, i'm not home too often ). I have used it...didn't seem like it did too much besides being a little painful on my sides  I am also good at it though and you apparently lose more weight if you're bad because you have to work harder to keep it up (makes sense).

So, my advice...get one if you want because it is an easy way to shed a lb or two at least and if it doesn't work for more than that, you're not out THAT much money  I think it should definitely help tone abs either way though because you have to tighten your stomach muscles :yay:

Ha. This is why I love you.

PS: You're nowhere near "fat". Have you ever done your BMI? I would say you're average...as in...not anorexic, but not a blimp

No thanks. I prefer Splenda or these days Alterna. I get my sugar from another source. :yay:

I haven't done my BMI in years. I'll find a chart online and see what it is.
