How did you catch COVID-19?

They call me ... Sarcasmo
So, did you think, relying on internet data that a large number of people on SoMD managed to contract this virus? Totally serious question. I am just curious to figure your train of thought here.

But it can take up to two weeks to realize we are sick if we have symptoms at all. During that time we also get mail delivered, boxes, food, etc. delivered. When we decide to venture out, we typically stop at more than one place to minimize our trips. There isn't really a way to narrow down where we picked up the virus from general exposure.
and just like that you realize that you are being duped and if all the BS works to contain/stop it then nothing really works at all

The irony.. those who would have the world locked down to stop the spread of the virus that kills the eldery...

are the same people who want to force you to have government healthcare where they tell the elderly that they are not worthy of health care, to take some drugs, go away, and die.

Well? It was the bottom 9th inning. Score 7-6, our favor, two outs, with one on base, and 2 strikes-3 balls on the batter. Playing left field, I was feeling pretty tired, and worn, after playing the earlier 8 innings. When Bob, on the trailing team, cracked a live drive to the outer wall. That puppy might have been mistaken for a rocket, with the arch and height that ball had taken after being hit. I ran, as fast I could. Stretching out my gloved hand as far as I could, while I jumped as high I could, slamming against the back wall. I couldn't believe, after landing hard from the jump, when I saw, on the cusp of my glove, that ball, just barely wedged, against, and with, the leather threads of the glove holding, securely, that cork and leather, wound with twine, baseball. The crowds standing and hollering. The noise level, nearly intolerable. The excitement? Palpable! The game was over. I signed the ball, (with a pen I had stuffed in my sock, for just such a purpose), and threw in to the appreciating crowd to be fought over. And, while walking, (actually kinda strutting), back to the dugout, spotted a gorgeous, bodacious, and petite blond, just above the roof of the dugout throwing me a note, which read, to meet her later at her apartment [Address redacted]. That day? Not only did I deliver a win for the team? That night? I brought the house down! Know what I mean?

It was only later discovered, that the pitcher delivered a spitball on that final pitch, (after a review of several angles of video). Not only was it illegal, a violation of league rules, but the pitcher was, as was told, later, by the team doctors, infected with the dreaded COVID-19. The doctors stated that the pitcher, Fernando Rodriguez, [Disclaimer: Kidding], most likely didn't even know he was infected. Albeit, he was asymptomatic.

But anyway .... That's the story of how I caught COVID-19. A day I well never forget. And neither should you.:buddies:

The Calvert Sheriff? Or a Sheriff's deputy? Did, this deputy, have a preexisting condition? Or was the story blown way out of proportion to elicit sympathy for the chosen few that are allowed, granted, to carry a firearm, and wear a shiny badge upon a costume?

OMG STFU I know 3 people who had this. 1 of them died, she was 23 years old. 1 of them had NO pre-existing conditions and is in their early 30s.

I am sorry you know people who have died from the current virus. I don’t know anyone personally that has died from this virus, and I live in the epicenter of it all in MD. In fact, I live in a neighborhood of many seniors that have lived here for 40+ years, and none of them have died yet from this political pandemic. There have been numerous viruses in our country’s history that have killed more. This virus has become a political tool to take down our great country, and a prez that the power hungry hate. People like Gov Cuomo purposely infected nursing homes to further the.agenda. And, yes, I believe that. You are telling the wrong person to STFU. JMO. All our neighbors are awesome. Three weeks ago a Friday happy hour was started at the end of the driveways. Each week it is at a different house. We all sit in chairs 6 feet apart, and have some great laughs. Our attendees are very diverse...Jewish, Ethiopian, Christian, Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Hispanic, and more. People that are out walking, also, stop to talk. “Masked or unmasked.“ That is my attempt at humor about the Gen. Flynn thing. God bless America. The land of the free. :patriot: Stay well, mitzi.

Did the one that died have the pre-existing condition? Was there a done a genetic RNA/DNA sequencing test performed at a laboratory to actually confirm it was the dreaded COVID-19 stain, or was it just the run of the mill swab test detecting what was/is most likely the seasonal flu? Your story, in an attempt to sway my compassion, and to chide me as well, does neither. Better continue wearing that mask of yours and follow the dictates of government. Or, just stop living in fear, eat healthy, avoid processed foods at all costs, exercise, lose weight, and get plenty of the sunshine, skin, producing vitamin D. You should share this advise with the remaining living friends that you have as well.

I'll wear my mask in the store just as I wear my seatbelt in the car. Not out of fear, to be cautious. The girl that died had the testing, it was COVID19, not the seasonal flu.

The grocery store every 2-3 weeks is my only contact with the outside world. No take out food. All USPS/UPS deliveries are sprayed with bleach water and stay outside for at least 24 hours, etc. So, that is why I was asking how common it is to contract it at the local grocery store.
The clerks in stores wear the same gloves all day touching everyones stuff think about that for a second I personally think this virus is all BS what does a mask do for you it does nothing at all how does staying 6 feet away from someone work it doesn't does the so called virus know if you are 6 fett away from someone what if you get on a escalator 6 feet back from the next person in front of you coughs are you not going to go thru that person mist or does it travel with that person no it doesn't you will go right thru it also there is to much BS for me to believe any of this crap they are testing us to see if we will obey orders

@calvcopf Serious question here. I am assuming that with your OP you are assuming that COVID was way more widespread in SoMD than it actually was. What made you think that there were forumites that had contracted it? Like I said, totally serious question as I am genuinely curious.
