so, getting back to the original topic,

is there any reason not to stuff the turkey tonight ans keep it in the fridge that way until putting it in the oven in the morning?

(ok, now that I've typed that I realize how much fun some of you will have but I"m not going to go back and change it. consider it an early christmas present)

If you stuff it tonight the stuffing will absorb all the blood and raw juices :dead: if you are going to stuff it you should stuff it right when you cook it.

That and also if the stuffing isn't COLD when you put it in the bird, it will raise the turkey's temp and start growing icky things.

Not a pound of meat, a pound of turkey weight, bones and all. As in, a 20 lb turkey is good for 20 people.

Although I could easily eat a pound of turkey. :yum:
I figured that but it still seems like a lot. I do the turkey for our family x-mas meal every year (20-30 people) and I don't recall buying such a big bird. Maybe I do.

Watch, Duponster & Fancybelle will pop in and say: "that's why we always run out."
