Oh, absolutely!!

It's a little strange that she made the decision to leave daycare that quickly, too. She let you visit and interview and THEN changed her mind? I think you should have gotten your deposit back, too.

Did you report her to the Resource Center, or don't they deal with problems?

they don't deal with the problems. but they do make note of them. i called them and the licensing board. they told me to take her to court. he11, for $140 it wouldn't be worth it. i'd lose that in lost hours at work!

Yep, you're right. It wouldn't be worth the time off.

I wonder how many others' deposits she kept. That was really low.

dunno. but the least she could've done is given me my dayum deposit back :twitch:
If you had a signed contract, and she was licensed, you shoulda threatend to sue, and followed thru. Clear cut case of theft. A letter from an attorney costs about $50.00. That's usually enough. Heck you coulda even printed one on your computer, made up a lawyer type name and then sent it to her registered mail, and that would probably made her cough it up. If you had taken her to court, you coulda sued for damages = to what you lost in wages while in court + lawyer fees + deposit.

NIGHTMARE: I agreed to let my "friend watch my 7 and 3 year olds. For a more than reasonable 75 bucks a week. She was bored at home and can't work a regular job.. so I said what the heck..
Last night alone...She took them to a crack house to defend her sister from getting beaten up by a pack of hood rats, she didn't feed my children until after 8 pm, My house is trashed and my daughters homework was not completed again.
This biatch hasn't gotten off the couch for more than a minute since I hired her and now I have a mouse since she can't even make sure her garbage makes it in to the trash.
:fatlazypotheaduseless#####gotfired:
Here I am working two jobs and I have to literally scrub my floors everyday 'cuz she's a slob, plus listen to her whining kid when i come home.
She was having her best friend come with her, who also has a "chuckiechild", not this POS is washing laundry at my house !!!!
:yougetwhatyoupayfor:
When you think you are getting a deal, it's really just the other person slipping the KY back there so they can screw you.
Lesson learded.
