How often to you talk to your parents?

I talk to my mom every once in a great while. She is busy I guess..and hates to talk on the phone. We IM each other or email more than we talk on the phone. Most of the time I'll tell my sister to pass a message to my mom, because they IM regularly. Sometimes my mom will go a month without calling. I'd like to talk to her more, but I feel like I shouldnt' always be the one having to call. Or, sometimes I'll call and leave a message and it will be a few weeks before she calls back. Recently I took a trip to the hospital (I guess it was about two weeks ago) and I told my sister to let my mom know. Still haven't heard back from her. :ohwell:

I talk to my dad maybe once a week or so. We just don't have a whole lot to talk about, but I email him every couple days or so.

My parents have been gone for a number of years now, wish the internet had been invented a long time ago. I email my brother a couple times a month to let him know I'm still alive and if he responds, well he's alive as well. My oldest son that lives in Maine and I email frequently but my other son that lives in Hollywood, MD see each other just now and then, mostly then. Just don't have anything to say to him.

I talk to my Dad every morning at exactly 8:00.

I talk to Crabcake about 4 times a week.

My son calls me almost every day.

I talk to the DQ about once a week. She's a funny kid!

My Grand-son & his sister ...(my son's kids) well, we talk about 2 or 3 times a month.

It's just nice to hear everyones voice.

Working for the weekend
My youngest son lives with me, and the oldest and youngest stepson call when they need something. The middle stepson calls about twice a week.

I used to talk to my mother every day, she fought cancer for ten years so I called daily to check on her. My father always answered the phone and always said hello, here is your mother. Since she was always sick he got used to her getting all the attention. I call my dad on a regular basis now, soon after my mother passed I called him once and his voice started cracking. I asked him what was wrong, and he said he just realized now that when I call his house I was calling to talk to him...... :huggy:

I try and talk to my maternal Grandparents semi regularly. Bug and I are planning a trip to CA in April to see them. Might be the last time to see him and that makes me sad. :bawl:

I am so very blessed
I can't really talk to my mom anymore since she lost her ability to speak, but when she could talk, we still only spoke maybe once every two weeks or so. When my dad was alive we spoke pretty regularly - maybe once or twice a week.

There is NO ONE that I'd want to speak on the phone with every single day. It would amaze me when I answered the phone at work for a guy whose wife called him four or five times a day. I couldn't imagine what in the world that they would talk about during all those phone calls, and then what they'd have to say to each other when he went home at night. :ohwell:

My husband talks to his parents at least three times a week, he's very close with them.

My mom just lives in St. Mary's County, so I see her more than I talk to her on the phone. It goes in spurts. Sometimes we see each other several times a week and sometimes only a few times a month.

just one of those days...
I talk to my Mom several times a week. We are very close. But I only talk to my Dad about once a month. It is a hassle for his wife and his other daughter to put him on the phone when I call and I get tired of the attitude. I wish I could talk to him more though.

I'll keep you all in my prayers. :huggy:

Both of my parents are gone. I wish I could talk to them everyday. I regret that, until they became ill, a week or two would go by between conversations.
