The Persians I have met are quite civilized, thank you. In fact their civilization is one of the oldest on the planet. They made quite a few appearances in the Old Testement and one signifigant one in the Gosphel (the Three Wise Men were Zoroastrian astrologers).

And last I checked, the handful of Iranians that are sticking their noses into Iraq are backing up Shiite militias against the Sunnis. That little fight has been going on for over 1300 years.

Did I fail to mention before that my old BF was Zoroastrian and quite anti-Muslim? The day after Ahmedamnnutjob was elected he was cursing a blue streak about the "facking terroreest" that had been elected back home.

Not all who are here share his vehement anti-Muslim sentiments, but dang I know quite a few that would make your diatribes look like playground taunts!

Well, that justifies all of the IED's killing our soldiers, doesn't it? And it really backs up your point about how civilized they are. Can't let go of a grudge that's 1300 years old.

They get all wrapped up in "We're Persians, not Arabs." They live on the other side of a gulf. They need to get over it. It's like someone on the Eastern Shore getting mad at being called a SMIB. "Yes, we're inbred, yes we live just as far south, but Southern Maryland is on the other side of the water."
