Saw this online and says the average is 10" of snow per inch of rain (depends on moisture content):

"15 inches of dry powder snow equals 1 inch of rain. This is also equivalent to only 5 inches of very wet snow. The accepted average is 10 inches."

So 10" being the average - there would be 70", so almost 6 feet of snow!!!!

No doubt! It would be 3 feet so far, and they'd have to come up with a more extreme word than the already-used "snowaggedon".

Watching the news, St Marys got over 9 inches of rain, but just over the bay on DelMarVa they got .76 inches. That's point seven six, less than an inch.

Even more on the way too. I took the county tour drive just to get home. Normally I would have a half hour from Piney Point to Ridge but thanks to mother nature I was able to travel to Leonardtown and then sit on St. Andrew's for 30 plus minutes due to an accident before I could get back to 235 and head south. It added an extra hour to my drive time but thank goodness this only happens once every several years.

What is the forecast for it to stop? I thought tomorrow was going to be clear to fly home. I bet it's going to be a bumpy ride :ohwell:

Bob landed at BWI at 4:30 this afternoon and said that it was his bumpiest flight and landing ever. Hopefully his drive home is easier than his flight.
