Hughesville Station

While going around the bypass today, I saw a sign in the treeline stating that the "Hughesville Station" was coming soon. What is it? Anybody know?

Probably more big houses... :ohwell: It would be nice if it was something nice though. Like a restaurant or something!

That's what I was thinking. Housing development. Can't be stores or businesses of any type. Business development would kill hughesville, whereas building more McMansions will Save Hughesville.

I drove up close to the sign today to figure out what is coming. The sign says, retail, pad sites, office and park and ride. From what I could gather online it will be a total of 72 acres. I look forward to seeing what will be coming in to shorten my drive.

I posted something about this about a month ago.
Don't count on anything coming to Hughesville with the old fuddy duddy's, they moan and complain, that they need to preserve Hughesville, Oh yeah main street Hughesville looks so nice to preserve.
Would be very nice to get some new things in the area.

I dont know if any of you have driven through Hughesville lately, but there is a strip of brand new buildings there now. I cant say I would have built them knowing the town is dying ,but they are there. Dont know whats going in them.

They kind of look strange sitting there with all the rundown places around them. I heard of some type of food place in one of them but cant remember what it was, have to ask the source that I heard it from again.:shrug::shrug:

Let's:start a good rumor, 72 acres thats plenty big enough for a SUPER WALMART. :killingme

hubby misses raquetball.
swim lessons closer than the average 35 minute or longer drive anywhere from Mechancisville

A nicer restaurant other than the strip in Charlotte Hall would be a good thing

I thnk they're gonna build a Super Target, Super WalMart, Lowes, Home Depot, WaWa, Sheetz, Food Lion, Giant, McDonalds, Burger King, Popeyes, Rite Aid, Walgreens and 5 drive thru liquor stores.
