Getting about time to get the feeders ready. These are absolutely my most favorite migrants.

Around here, they say to put up feeders on April 1. I was hoping my native coral honeysuckle would be blooming.

Need new feeders. Dropped one and it broke, and the other is just about to break. Been putting the same ones out for years, they don't owe me anything. Got the one out, I'll hit the store tomorrow for new ones.

My native coral honeysuckle is getting ready to bloom. In addition to feeders, they love them some honeysuckle!

This is true, we have a honeysuckle bush in our yard and the hummingbirds and unfortunately bees love it.

Check other stuff out and just don't wait. Yesterday watched a hawk come and snatch a dove from the deer corn. It quickly dispatched it, confirmed the kill and flew off to its snacking perch. Day before I had a couple of Toms showing off for the hens and ended up in a beak-lock for about 20 minutes. Then there are the deer and boy are plentiful, Seems that a couple of them like to get bossy around the corn piles and run the little ones off.

I love watching the does stand up on their back legs and bitch slap each other when Im hunting...you feed the deer year round?

Just saw a 3' black snake make it's way across the backyard.
