Hunter safety course

Do they have a 1 day hunter safety course in southern maryland? Also where can I find a schedule of class dates?

I think theya re all 3 day minimum. Try calling the Tackle Box, Izac Walton League, WalMart or other places that sell firearms. They usually have a list of times/dates.

My son took the hunting safety course through the DNR (Dept of Natural Resource). I think it was about 3 days minimum (class, presentations, on-hand demo, on the field training, etc)

What is the criteria? Is there an age cut off, or if you took it in another state?

Just never had to much of an interest in hunting before but not much else to do around this area. Just moved into house with alot of state game land in back yard so figured why not. Just missed the cut off date for not having to take the course. I believe that was 1977 I was born 1978. Was just looking for a 1 day class but looks as if ill have to do 4 nights.
