So the criminal gets to kill a few dozen people before the police stop him with non-lethal bullets. Then the criminal gets the benefit of our wonderful judicial system, in which he will probably get life in prison or a death sentence that will be commuted about 50 times. If he ever makes it to lethal injection or whatever, he's lived another 10 years. What about the people he killed? They didn't get to live those 10 years. Point being, give the cops lethal bullets. Save the taxpayers the dayum money on a trial, etc.
I know some people who are cops and also guys who work the gates at the base. It's nice to be able to shoot someone who you THINK is a threat and not have to wait until you KNOW the person is a threat. In a hostage situation it's nice not having to worry about accidentally killing an innocent. Sounds like what you stated is that the law enforcement officer should be judge, jury, and executioner. Sometimes a cop thinks a person is a threat but the person dead on the ground may have been the criminal and person armed was protecting himself/herself. It sounds ito me that nstead of discussing whether the cops should use lethal rounds or not you should be discussing how the judicial system should be changed because it sounds like that is your biggest complain. IMHO
