It's like that joke they tell in church about the flood survivor who's sitting on his rook asking God to save him. When a guy in a canoe comes by and offers him a lift, the guy says "No thanks. God will save me." Then a guy in a boat comes by to offer help, and the guy says the same thing. Then a Coast Guard helo comes over, and the guy tells them "No thanks. God will save me." As the flood waters rise the guy drowns, and when he meets God he says "Lord, why did you not save me?", and God says "who do you think sent you the canoe, boat, and helicopter!"
