Are you implying that it was too long ago and that is why it cost less? A little over a year ago...and I got round trip airline tickets, a hotel room for a week, photos - including print, on a cd, 8x10s, and even a blown up wedding portrait, video, live web cast with a dvd of that, cake, flowers, decorations, preacher, champagne, a butler guy, a coordinator and some other stuff that I can't even remember for less than what you paid for just photos and a video. Heck, you can factor in my dress, my husband's tux (that was purchased - not rented) and it still cost less.
I priced a small, local wedding. I couldn't believe the cost. It was insane to me and still is, to pay that much. I could have bailed out a third world nation. IMHO, have fun, skip the stress, get your princess wedding if that's what you want, but check out alternatives to have something cost effective that won't put you in debt or stretch your finances too thin. A wedding is for one day, the marriage is for a lifetime - you don't want to be paying for that one day throughout the course of your marriage.
