Relax... She didn't give away the whole thing.

She left out the part where he captures a pair of female darkseekers to keep as sex slaves.

And you left out the part where he later discovered that they were transvestites.

The whole story was pretty bizzare!! Actually, we anxiously waited until it came out on DVD and we were disappointed. Hubby read the book and says the movie didn't follow along at all. He was expecting some rotting darkseekers (graphically described in text) and other plot twists that weren't there.

Yeah...for such an awesome book, this movie sucked.

In fact, it kinda sucked even if you didn't take the book into consideration. Damn that Will Smith!!

More reviews here...

I liked the flick so-so. I must add that I put the subtitles on to catch what is being said and have a faithful sidekick that usually knows what is going on and can 'splain. :yay:

And, I like Will Smith - finally w/o his Will Smithisms & actions. and - The gray hair looked just plain silly..

I must add that I liked the effects, like those of the Darkseekers.

To watch or not to watch; I can't really say yay or nay as I don't know how well you know the storyline (or don't but get the idea) or if you just like checking out things with an open mind.

:howdy:
btw, that has got to be one of the most beautiful shephards I have seen!

I thought the effects were sub standard. The dark seekers looked cartoonish. One scene where he's driving in the Mustang looked like a cheap video game.

Omega Man with Charlton Heston was a much better flick than this re-make.

I loved that movie.

Remember that one part with the thing on the thing? That was cool.

:buttkick: I foresaw this coming. Not necessarily from you, but I knew it would get here.

I started to write a more "related" review last night, but was too tired, so Iminimized it.

Like a tired student, trying to finish an unwanted task, I assumed the job (that I gave mysef) of writing a review (that is nebulous) this morning, just to finish, though still no working frontal lobe to speak of.

You're very welcome. This movie is not recommended to be watch with children or around children.

I watch all of my movies after the kids are in bed.

Try The Last Man on Earth starring Vinvent Price made in '64 or Omega Man starring Charlton Heston made in '71.
They might conform to the book better.
