The Hedgehog Society of Waldorf is giving me a new baby hedgehog since I lost my baby Jellybean. He is a Ruby-eyed Cinnacot! He is adorable! I have decided to name him a candy name like I had Jellybean so I named him Twizzler. He will be coming home with us on the 29th. :yahoo:

I am so grateful to them for their help with Jellybean while she was sick. If it had not been for Inkpen and The Society I would have lost her a lot sooner.

Thanks to all involved!!! I really appreciate everything everyone did to help me through this terrible disease my baby had. I especially thank BeenSpur'd for the beautiful cross on my babies grave.

What is the normal grieving period for a hedgehog, isn't it kinda soon for a replacement? Poor Jellybeen is barely cold and he has a replacment!

I have a large finished basement that is half my animal room and half my bedroom. The animal room part had it's flooring put down by a friend of mine before she moved to NC with her business. The dogs spend most of the day outside as the cats are not too keen on them being indoors! :lmao:

They offered him to me before she died. We expected her to live another 6 months to a year with the disease but hers progressed rapidly. The only reason I can figure out on that is because she was so young. No I am not over my Jellybean and probably never will be. He is just coming to live with us to fill a hole I have in my heart. No he cannot replace her, but he can and most probably will make me feel better. I miss her terribly and wished I hadn't named her what I did because I hear things, see things and think about things that make me think of her several times a day.
