Every once in a while if they get startled they will stick their quills up but if they know you and trust you they don't poke me at all. Jellybean loved for me to hold her. It will take Twizzler a while to get used to us but he will be fine eventually. They are sweet little animals.

Do the pokes hurt bad? How far into the skin can/will their quills go?
