No. Animals don't need a human bed to get comfortable sleep. My dog has his own bed, but half the time he lays on the floor anyway.

If I am in my recliner laid back watching TV and it's warm enough in the living room, my cat will jump up on me and climb until she is on my chest under my chin, then curl up in a ball and go to sleep. She used to sleep on my bed too. She would pounce on my legs in the middle of the night; claws extended; when she saw the covers move. I eventually broke her of THAT habit.
Then she started sleeping right next to me or on top of me. If I was sleeping on my stomach she would climb on my back and ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to get off. Stubborn cuss.....

I just use that round vac attachment; vacuum off the bedspread; or I stick it in the dryer.....the bedspread.

I let anyone who wants to sleep in my bed with me do so. Wait, that didn't come out right 
Peanut sleeps at the left side foot of bed and then inches her way up to me throughout the night. No other animals can get within a 2-3 foot radius of her without worry of a fight. Even though she's little, she takes up a lot of room - factoring her "radius". Sampson sleeps on my head, Possum and Brandy cats will take turns sleepin gon the right side by my side or my feet.

No animals in my bed either. When Dustin's not home I sleep with the bedroom door open and the dog usually starts out the night laying on the floor next to the bed, but always ends up in the living room. The dog lets me sleep in, but if Dustin's home and the door's open he's in there bugging him to get up super early. More often than not the cat spends the night in the laundry room with the door closed because he's a jackass and makes a huge racket all night if we let him roam the house.
When Dustin's not home I sleep with the bedroom door open and the dog usually starts out the night laying on the floor next to the bed, but always ends up in the living room. The dog lets me sleep in, but if Dustin's home and the door's open he's in there bugging him to get up super early. Yup in the dryer with a dryer sheet will usually dislodge the hair so it ends up in the lint filter.
