Is the implication that you were a Deaniac prior to Kerry securing the bid?

IT'S TRUE!

I would have prefered Edwards - Kerry insted of Kerry - Edwards but this will do just fine.

I was just back in Ohio to visit friends and family this weekend. After talking to many people from very different backgrounds they all agreed on one thing...It wouldn't matter who ran against bush - cheney, there is going to be a change in the Whitehouse after November.

Hi Sparx, I forgot to mention... Bill Clinton will be directly across the street for a book signing tomorrow at 4 at the Barnes and Noblel. I'm not sure if you remembered how to get here or not. If you are interested in getting his signature, pm me and I'll give you directions. Btw, his book is now 30% off there!!! I think the lines will be long though.... in New York I heard folks were camping out the night before. I could also start giving you the line status starting at 3 tomorrow if you like. Let me know. Unfortunately, I can't leave to get one signed. :frown:

You are kidding right? This is probably the best decision that the Kerry Campaign has made since it started. This announcement should start a good, long period of favorable news coverage and not only that, Senator John Edwards offers a terrific complement to the ticket. This is just like when Ronald Reagan brought George H.W. Bush into the fold and Kennedy brought in LBJ. All stark primary rivals that were able to make up and win (with both parts of the ticket going on to win the White House).

Senator Edwards represented average people who had been subject to malpractice and negligence. He then represented the people of North Carolina with moderation and bipartisanship. He is charismatic and able to connect to the people in a crowd. His personal story of growing up in a working house household, becoming the first in his family to go to college, and becoming a successful lawyer is a great American story. He helps our party in the South, not only on the presidential level, but the senatorial level as well (5 Democratic incumbents have decided to not seek reelection in the South). Edwards on the ticket immediately helps us in Arkansas, Virginia, Lousiana, and North Carolina, four states that Kerry can carry. He also helps in the Industrial Rustbelt where blue collar voters have left the party on social issues, but will come back into the fold with a charismatic touch from Edwards who genuinely knows what they are going through. I just cannot see the problem here for Democrats and Independents. As for the Republicans' criticism of Senator Edwards, it should be expected. We could have the Pope on the ticket and they would throw an attack out at him.

:roflmao: Never thought of that one!!! I agree with everything that you have said... I would prefer an Edwards over a Dan Quale any day! I just hope Kerry doesn't change his mind on this in a few months from now...

Rraley -- are you going to the booksigning?

Lets see, the Pope is against abortion, vice, gay marriage, porn, and consequence free living. I think he is Republican and would not run as a Democrat.

I give to the poor and I am a republican. I will not however support them for the rest of their lives.

Let's see the Pope is against the death penalty, the war in Iraq, supports poverty programs fervently, and is the leader of the religion whose members have only been nominated by the Democratic Party for the office of President.

The Roman Catholic belief system is not indicative of either party. To say that the Pope will be a member of one party over the other is irresponsible.
