I can't choose a new cell phone (Verizon network)

I am looking at new phone... I would love to have an iPhone… but all my of my friends are with Verizon; so I am going to stay with Verizon Wireless.

But I can’t choose which phone I want; and I am looking at 5 phones:

Samsung SCH-u740
LG Chocolate
Samsung FlipShot
Motorola MOTORIZR Z6tv
LG Venus

Does anyone have one? How do you like it?

I like the MOTORIZR Z6tv, but it doesn’t have MobleIM installed on it, but Verizon says it is downloadable (I didn’t have this feature on my Razr).

All I have to say is I REALLY dislike the LP chocolate.
That is all.

 an iPhone won't complete a call to somebody using a different network?

Verizon to Verizon is always free to call, text, and send pictures...

AT&T to Verizon, I would lose minutes and it would cost to send a text message to friends. I would end up having to pay for extra minutes used.

I personally would stay away from Moto products, I have found LG to be superior to them. Samsung is pretty well also. The new Chocolate is way better than the old one, unlike the old one, this has a actual send button and the screen lock is a lot quicker so you won't end up pressing key s that were not intended. The LX8350 (you didn't list) is really nice, has a lot of features that the Venus has, but it isn't big and bulky or have the touch screen. I know several people with the u740 that really like it, but I myself got rid of it shortly after it came out. I was looking at the Flipshot the other day, but then decided I don't really need a 3.0 camera when I keep my digital with me all the time.

I have the newer model of the LG chocolate and I absolutely love it. Gets good service, good battery life, easy to use. :yay:

That is what the rep at BJs was telling me, that it is way better than the previous. I am thinking about upgrading my old one for a new model one.

We sat down to lunch yesterday, and with the 12(?) of us there there were a LOT of EnV's, at least 6.... EVERYONE that had one was VERY happy with it (as far as I know I didn't talk to EVERYONE). I was surprised to see all the EnV's on the table.

I think this speaks volumes about the ENV if you have Verizon.

I have limited internet access, I have access to yahoo, and MSN.. both IM and e-mail.. I have the navigator, can check the news on the internet, stocks, weather updates, radar.. etc.. etc..

Awesome camera, that can record up an hour of video..

Great MP-3 player.

And what's most important to me, VERY durable.. this phone can take a beating.

My daughter talks to a lot of kids at High School, and she gets the lowdown on all the phones, and as you can imagine the kids are TOUGH on phones. The EnV is probably rated among the best among that age group (she now has an orange one).. Chocolate/ Raz-R did not fare well, nor did any of the Samsung flip phones, of the Verizon V-tv phone with the flip around screen mostly due to durability issues.. and screens seperating from phones.. hinges failing..

I always go to my 14 year old to ask about "Consumer Report" type ratings of cell phones.

I was looking at this one also. It seems that alot of people have this, and like you said, I haven't heard anyone complain. Too me is seemed bulky, but I may need to look into it again if it is as durable as you say.

get a Blackberry Pearl, ish nice! I have T-Mobil though, and the MyFav5 is great for unlimited calling to any 5 numbers you call the most. I'm gonna have to remove Charles Barkley off my list though :lmao:

I got the Samsung SCH-u740 and I wish I had not. The reception is not as good. I live near the water and have some reception issues and my new phone can not pick up any calls, although the old one had spotty reception. I had two LG phones before and they were much better. I would choose LG based on my prior experiences. I am rough of my phones, also. The LG's stood up to being dropped, etc.

Get a Samsung. Their phones are great. I get great battery life and lots of functionality.
