I found the answer to my question, along with reams of WDW information:

Highest Attendance:
Presidents' week in February
Mid-March through Late April (Spring Break)
Memorial Day weekend
Mid-June through Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day and weekend
Christmas week through New Year's Day

Moderate Attendance:
After Presidents' week in February through early March
Late April through early June (except Memorial Day weekend)
The first part of Thanksgiving week

Lowest Attendance:
January (except New Year's Day) until just prior to Presidents' week in February
The week following Labor Day until just prior to Thanksgiving week
The week following Thanksgiving until the week prior to Christmas

You're the right person to ask - when is the best time to go to Disney? I would have expected the answer to be summer 'cause I figured no one wants to be in FL in the summer but I guess not!

Anytime school is out is pretty bad time. Some of the low season times are

couple of days after New Years(mot of the tourists have gone home)

and non-summer, non spring break , non-holiday weekdays.

The difference between low and high season can be waiting in line for less than 30 minutes for a riide in low season and about 90 minutes for high. If you go and find the place really busy don't forget to get the speedpass. The last time I went it was spring break and there was a national cheerleading competition going on that weekend.

This is when we went last year and honestly it was bearable. I didn't want to have to pull my son out of school so I think it worked out to where we got to go for 8 days with him only missing 2 days of school.

What is a speedpass? What is it good for?
Fastpass - you get a ticket from a machine with a time to come back; you come back at that time and enter in a special line with a very minimal wait time. But make sure you check out the return time of the pass before getting it and also you are only allowed one pass per every hour - three depending on which ride you get the pass for.

You go get a speed pass and it has a time on it like 11:30A.M. to 12:30PM. The attraction have regular lines and speedpass lines. Basically you get the speedpass and you go off somewhere to do other things. You go to the speedpass line at anytime between 11:30am and 12:30pm. It's very useful on those crowded days.

Nah, She said she wanted to go in early, take a break out of the park and then come back later in the day.

During these extended hours the park will be a lot less crowded since general admission people would not be there.
