I just can't wrap my head around this kind of thinking; the knee-jerk reaction for these liberals to use race as a means to bolster their point. And worse, to be embarrassed about something you can't control - the color of your skin.

I have never held any sort of pride or embarrassment about my skin color. It is what it is. Just like I have two arms with hands and ten fingers. Because there are people that don't have this, I should be embarrassed about having it? God/nature dealt my cards, of which I can do nothing about. It's childish thinking that I should be embarrassed about what nature gave me. I'm just thankful I'm a human, living in the freest (for now) country in the world.

It must be a miserable existence being embarrassed about who you are.

People will my skin color have done amazing things throughout history. Conquered space, designed the assembly line, tamed the U.S. frontier, won 2 world wars, etc. I guess I should be proud of that. But I don't look at it like that. I can't take credit for something I didn't have a part in.
