Because women who flash are "Girls Gone Wild".

Haven't met too many "happy" drunk people in my life. I had an older relative who had a drinking problem, and he always seemed to be in a catatonia-type alcoholic haze.

And then there are the "angry" drunk people, the ones who get in people's faces with "F this and F that" and go around looking for fights. If I owned a bar, I would be tempted to clock people like that over the head with a bottle, and lock them in a back room until they sobered up. I wouldn't want people like that harrassing my customers.

That's why bars are private property, and you as the owner have the right to kick any patron out when they get out of hand. Just make sure they get in a cab, not drive away.

Really? Interesting.

If men are so "visual", how come it's always the women that notice the trash needs to be taken out and the carpet needs a vaccuuming?
That IS funny, but I was just referring to sexual preferences.

Think back to caveman days. Men were the hunter/gatherers and women were the nurturers, keeping home and hearth together and raising the next generation. I'll bet no cavewoman ever said, "Hey, Erg, you're not satisfying my emotional needs!" Men tend to think of sex in physical terms, where for a woman it's more emotion-based.

That's really true, and essentially what I was trying to state in the first place. That's why I was saying that there's little interest in male nudity because women's tastes just don't run that way. Show them a picture of a male nude and they'll usually laugh. Describe a nude man and what he may be doing and you'll get more interest (as long as it's not done in a creepy way).

Show a guy a good looking naked woman and there will be much more interest.
That's why women shouldn't pose nude in any form unless they want it to come back and haunt them.
With men, it's not as big a concern.
Jessica shouldn't have romped nude, and there'd be no worry.
I have a feeling the pictures will eventuall surface anyhow, and that's not good for her. However, she IS just a regular American girl who found herself in extroadinary circumstances. That, in turn, coupled with good timing and a public wanting desperately to hear good news, put her up as a "hero" and pop culture icon.

They used to say that about a woman showing her ankles, or otherwise indicating she had legs, instead of being a solid bell shape under her skirt.

Then they said that about a woman wearing pants, instead of a skirt.

She was considered wanton and deserved whatever she got.:frown:

Vrai, do you think that's purely hormonal or genetic, purely due to upbringing and societal expectations, or a combination of the two? I'm inclined to go with Door No. 3.

Hey Vrai... before to get women to dust off their halos, you might want to check out that report that O'Reilly was citing the other night. It talks about how the biggest increase in users of Internet porn are... drum roll please... women.

That's only because there's not as much room for an increase for men.

I have no problem with that. But I don't think pictures of her should be used to line the pockets of Larry Flynt without her permission. A person should have commercial control over their likeness and in most cases they do. Which, I suspect, is why Larry Flynt won't publish the pics - not out of some altruistic protection of Jessica Lynch.

#1, with a bullet. The feminists have tried like hell over the last generation to de-gender their children. It didn't work. They did an experiment in the 70's with kids, where they were raised from birth with opposite gender training. The little boys ended up using their dollies as a weapon and the little girls used their toy cars to drive to the beauty shop. I'll try and run down the results - pretty interesting stuff.

No halo - it's merely what is. Larry tried that old "women viewing porn" stat. First of all, women have no place to go but up in that respect. #2, they're up to - what? - 2% of all porn viewers now?

Have you read the book "As Nature Made Him"? Fascinating stuff.

I don't think it's all feminists supported that de-gendering, just the more extreme ones with some deep-seated grievances from childhood.

My viewpoint? I don't like the idea of telling kids that cooking is "only" for girls or that carpentry is "only" for boys, and I won't do that with my own children. It doesn't make a difference to me whether they pursue stereotypically feminine careers or stereotypically masculine careers, just as long as it's what they want to do and not what others expect them to do.

The only true "de-gendering" experiment would be if you put infant boys and girls on an island completely isolated from society, and that would be not only cruel, but insane.

I agree. That's one of the only good things that's come out of the "women's movement" - male and female alike are are encouraged to explore other interests rather than the traditional ones for their gender.

But men are still men and women are still women. Women cry at sappy movies - men roll their eyes. Men play tackle football - women get their nails done. Women want to talk about relationships - men grunt and pretend to be interested. There are exceptions, certainly, but not very many.

Women are trying desperately to feminize men because, let's face it, women are more relationship inclined. Men don't particularly want to masculinize women but they do want them to quit crying and talking about the relationship.
