See the bolded part. You can microwave meat and other dishes in the GodPot and they come out like they've been made in a regular oven. A lot quicker for those of us who forget to set up the crockpot in the morning.

I can't leave a microwave or oven on. CrockPot it is. That's my GodPot.
CrockPot meals are better than oven meals. JMO.
I don't have more room in the kitchen for another cooking device.

How do you cook then when not using your crock pot?
Grill. Microwave is for heating up leftovers and steamable veggies. The oven is for casseroles, prime rib and turkey.

I have cooked the following in my pot (none of which have taken over 30 min in the microwave)...
whole chicken roaster
pot roast
meatloaf
apple cobbler
there's so many other things to make but these are our faves.
And the meats are soooo juicy and tender.....

I make all of these in my Crock or my oven.
I guess I like the Crock. Fill it up, turn it on, and leave. Return at night to a juicy tender meal. Best stew or ppot roast ever!
Apple crisp/Betty only takes an hour in the oven. Regular cooking pan.

Best thing I've gotten in the past two years is a huge electric cooking griddle. I do the bacon and then fry up the pancakes in the grease while the bacon drains on junk newspaper left in the driveway.

I have the recipe. The box BS Gal gave me (she hated it) was awesome. I just added water and did up some grilled cheese. No trip to the grocery store for all the ingredients.
