How often to you tell your spouse?
Do you get tired of hearing it?
Does it spark a little somethin somthin when you hear it?
Do you say it to your other family members?

I am so very blessed
Call me weird.

I tell my husband and son as soon as I wake them up each and every morning.

I want them to hear "I love you" first thing so that it - hopefully - sets the stage for them to have a good day.

Also, if something happens to me, they know that at the very least, I told them I loved them that morning.

Well, that, and I DO love them very much. :blushing:

Every morning before I leave for work and every night before I go to sleep and/or after sex. If we talk on the phone, it's usually said before I hang up as well.

No.

Yeah, something like that.

A few.

Oh wait...he's not my spouse.

Every day, more than once usually, feels weird if I hang up the phone and DON'T say it....like, what if he has an accident or something, I'd feel horrible.
Random texts throughout the day are not uncommon either.

Every morning before my husband leaves for work he comes up to bed, wakes me up and gives me a kiss goodbye and we both say "I love you". At night, he goes to bed much earlier than me, I go to bed and wake him up to give him a kiss good night and we both say "I love you". Usually when we hang up the phone as well.

I agree with other sentiments here, I always want to make sure it was the last thing I said to him just in case.

Wow. My children, every day. It's not even perfunctory. I feel it for them profoundly every day. On the other hand, it's very, very easy to do, because they are always showering me with affection. They're like little Dinos from the Flintstones. How can you NOT say it?

My wife? SLIGHTLY less often. More often I will try to tell her how much I appreciate what she's done, or that she did a good job at dinner, or with the children, or doing something at home. I try to make sure she gets a kiss goodbye if she leaves the house and I am home. And all phone calls end with I love you.

I had a good example. My dad. He simply would never let my mom leave without kissing her goodbye. My mom tells a story where my Dad, in his seventies, came running down the driveway with a face half-covered in shaving cream. He had to kiss her goodbye. He just can't not do it. Good man. Wish I was more like him.
