The guy apologized for something that he did and now he regrets. Happens all the time in life. I don't read anything else into his gesture. Good on him for taking the time to give you an apology, even if you didn't feel like I is deserved. I wish more people had more concern for the feelings of others. I hope when it is my turn to apologize that I do the right thing.
