Idiot driver of the day...

"Fill your hands you SOB!
Everyone probably has several to nominate for the driving that was going on out there this morning....here's mine:

BIG SUV truckin on down 235, female driver, she's attempting to do 60 while everyone around her is doing 35-40 max....traffic in front of her starts slowing down...she's chatting away on the cell phone, locks up her brakes, starts swerving all over the place, crossing lanes, headed for the median...NEVER puts down her cell phone the entire time to get control of her tank! Swerving all over the place and trying to control it one-handed, never skipped a beat in her conversation. Only thing that saved her (and the rest of us trying to avoid her stupidity) was her SUV bouncing off the median curb and straightening it out for her.

Jeez!!!

BadGirl

I am so very blessed
I'm staring at two accidents right now, and a third incident where a southbound car is in the northbound lane median strip.

My trip in to work was a piece of cake by comparison.

Did I ever mention how much I really love my 5 minute commute to work?
:yeahthat:

I was proud of all of my fellow commuters at 630 this morning. Everyone was going really slow and nobody tailgated.

I'm still looking for a commute where I do it in my boxers and go from my bedroom to home office....

Yeah....those that hit the road early seem to be the best. Those on the road closer to start work time drive crazier and crazier the closer it gets to 8 AM

But that gets boring after a while, and you long for a good traffic jam.

NOT! I love my across the hall commute!!! Especially on mornings like today. I say a little prayer for the people who do have to get out there. I did the WW Bridge for 5 years, and remember the he11 it was.

Be safe, guys!

You see this stuff all the time, but if you ask somebody why they drive a large poor handling vehical, they'll tell you "I feel safer".

Butt head in an Expedition insisted on passing me on the right while I was turning into Horseshoe Rd..... He is currently stuck in the field.

So glad, he did't rear end me!

Heck my entire drive (all 3 plus hours of it) was filled with entertaining a-holes. But my favorite was the Calvert County cop who thought he should be able to go a lot faster than the flow of traffic and had to keep slamming on the brakes which in turn caused him to shimmy and slide. :loser:

I saw just the opposite coming across the Solomons Bridge, lady coming at me in an Explorer. Death grip on the wheel, eyes as big as plates, doing all of 5 mph, traffic backed up behind her to the other end of the bridge. MIGHT have been understandable if there was snow or ice on the bridge, but her lane was dry, and clean to the asphalt.
Then I had to follow a two wheel drive itty bitty pick-up doing about 10 - 15 the whole way to the lights..

Days like this I am reminded of how buying my car was not one of my brightest moments. I had a ton of people tailgating me and passing me. Slow and steady wins the race. I wasn't even going to atempt to take Noah to daycare so I have company in the office today.

Isn't your car front wheel drive?? Should have been fine.. if not, I got the recovery strap in the back of my truck.. won't even break a sweat pulling your tiny car out of a ditch..
