Shawn Taylor got in trouble for brandishing a firearm several years ago. He was trying to get back property that was stolen from him. Perhaps he could have handled it better, but, as a consequence he is not allowed to have a firearm now.

So, last night his house was broken into, he went to investigate and he went after the intruders...with a machete.

They shot him. In his home.

You imbeciles who support restricting our second amendment rights play a role in subjugating us all to criminals and to the state. Unless Taylor is in jail, he should have ever right to, at least, defend himself in his own damn home.

I disagree. Taylor is obviously a shady character himself and he should have thought about the repurcussions before he beat someone up and threatened them with a gun.

I still say this isn't a random home invasion and he got in over his head with some bad guys. If he ends up dying, OFW. He should have thought of that, too.

There are no allegations or rumors of Shawn being a thug. He got in trouble one time and paid the price. That we would restrict anyone the right to defend themselves in their own home is insane.

If they did in fact steal his ATV, I have no problem with that. Kind of goes back to the thread about the recent events in Texas where a home owner shot killed two burgulars stealing property.
